Annapurna Studios, Reliance join hands
Hyderabad-based Annapurna Studios, founded by thespian Akkineni Nageswara Rao, has joined hands with leading film and entertainment company Reliance MediaWorks Limited to manage and operate its studio and to expand its digital post-production facility.
Annapurna Studios is a leading provider of various film production facilities, including sound stages, outdoor sets, editing and sound recording theatres.
Under the new strategic alliance, the studio facility will now be managed and operated by Reliance MediaWorks. Besides, 5 new state-of-the-art air-conditioned studios will be added to the existing 5-studio complex.
Notably, Reliance MediaWorks owns and operates Mumbai-based RMW Studios, which are India's largest "Hollywood-benchmarked studios".

It is futuristic," Akkineni Nagarjuna, Managing Director of the Studios, said in a statement, "The collaborative strategic approach between the 2 studios will drive new growth opportunities and realize the potential to ultimately transform the media & entertainment sector in India. Reliance MediaWorks and Annapurna Studios together with their unique backgrounds and distinctive perspectives will deliver world-class services through inspired concepts and designs," he added.
