Leading Hyderabad based film and television studio Annapurna Studios, promoted by veteran Akkineni Nageshwara Rao and Nagarjuna, has invested Rs. 100 crores to develop and expand the total number of studio facilities at Annapurna to 10, making it the largest in Asia.

With a state-of-the art climate controlled movie production facility, fully-equipped makeup rooms with five-star luxury, dance rehearsal facility and canteens, the new studio will provide shooting stages ranging in the size from 10,000 sft to 15,000 sft, besides offering outdoor film facilities and back lots. It will be open for film makers shortly.

"For 30 years, Annapurna Studios has been intrinsically involved in the film industry. Our investment in the studio further demonstrates our long-term commitment to develop film production ecosystem in this region,” Nagarjuna, managing director of the studio, said in a press release on Saturday.

The post-production facilities include state-of-the-art editing, dubbing, animation, computer graphics (CG), digital interface and sound mixing rooms, so-much-so, a film could be made right from the concept to the release stage without the need for going out of the studio. "You do not need to shoot outdoors anymore. Floors are going to come back in fashion," Nagarjuna said.
