The long wait for leading Telugu superstar Prabhas' fans everywhere has finally come to an end as the teaser for his highly-anticipated upcoming biggie, Salaar, has now been released. The upcoming Telugu-language action thriller written and directed by Prashanth Neel of KGF fame and produced by Vijay Kiragandur under the Hombale Films banner is scheduled to be launched into cinemas worldwide on September 28 and the first glimpse of the film screams an absolutely epic mass and electrifying entertainer. The wait for the Salaar teaser has been a long one, but definitely worth it, and director Prashanth Neel, who is carrying all the confidence in the world after the stupendous success of his KGF films, has this time delivered just what Prabhas fans have been dying to see for a long time.

The 1-minute 46 seconds Salaar teaser starts off with Tinnu Anand being surrounded by several men in arms and one of them approaching him in a threatening manner. We then see him tell them in "simple English" so that there will be "no confusion" that lions, cheetahs, tigers, and elephants are very dangerous but not when they are in Jurassic Park. The Salaar teaser then progresses to give a glimpse of the action and introduces Prabhas, who is not revealed completely but is shown with his moniker 'Rebel Star' on the screen. In the few moments that he is shown, the viewers are given a slight tease, but in the midst of high-octane action as he is seen taking down all the baddies left and right with a machete, with Malayalam actor Prithviraj Sukumaran as Vardharaja Mannaar being introduced as his foe. The teaser maintains its tempo with the build-up of tension and a sense of mystery and intrigue from the get-go and makes it clear that the film is going to be centered around the showdown between Prabhas' Salaar and Prithviraj Sukumaran's Vardharaja Mannaar characters. Along with the big action teased in this first big glimpse, it has also been officially revealed that the film is titled SALAAR: PART 1 - CEASEFIRE. implying that it is going to be a franchise of its own akin to Prashanth Neel's two-parter K. G. F: Chapter 1 and K. G. F: Chapter 2

The Salaar teaser definitely gives an impression that director Prashanth Neel has for the most part retained the aesthetics of his KGF films - be it the color tone, the action design, and the manner in which the world is depicted - but, it also once again adds to the intrigue. Producer Vijay Kiragandur's Hombale Films has gone full out in making sure the film is appealing to audiences across all age groups and he will no doubt be looking to see it turn out to be a bigger success than his KGF ventures. Salaar is strongly believed to be the game changer for Prabhas, whose last few releases despite turning out to be phenomenal nationwide box office successes, ended up getting mixed reviews, and fans now wait with bated breath to witness the actor come out with all guns blazing on the big screen. Salaar also stars Shruti Haasan as the female lead Aadya, followed by Easwari Rao cast as Prabhas' mother, Jagapathi Babu as Raja Mannaar, Sriya Reddy, Garuda Ram, among others, and features music by Ravi Basrur, who is back with his thunderous background score for Prashanth Neel after KGF.
