Hollywood superstar Harrison Ford, who is currently working on the fifth installment of his Indiana Jones franchise, jumped into rescue mode by yelling for medical services after a crew member collapsed due to a heart attack, The Sun has reported. The 79-year-old iconic star had shouted, "Get me a medic quick!" An insider told The Sun: "They've been at Pinewood and are due to finish Friday. All of a sudden a male member of the crew collapsed. Harrison was standing just yards away and yelled for a medic. There was a huge amount of panic. The on-site first aider did CPR while they waited for an air ambulance and paramedics to arrive."

Planned for a release in theatres in June 2023, Indiana Jones 5, which is yet to have its title officially announced, has already witnessed a few production delays due to the Covid-19 pandemic. Filming had also been pushed last summer after Ford suffered a shoulder injury, with filmmaker Steven Spielberg (replaced by Logan director James Mangold) calling himself "an idiot" for allowing the veteran actor to perform his own stunts. Spielberg, who is currently serving as a producer on the upcoming Indiana Jones film, had recalled in an interview a similar incident on the sets of the first film in the blockbuster franchise, Raiders of the Lost Ark (1981), which had Ford being chased by a boulder, with the filmmaker later stating that he was "lucky" to finish the sequence unharmed. The Oscar-winning director said, "There were five shots of the rock from five different angles -- each one done separately, each one done twice -- so Harrison had to race the rock 10 times. He won 10 times -- and beat the odds. He was lucky -- and I was an idiot for letting him try it."

As for Harrison Ford, the Star Wars star had previously shared his excitement on returning to play Indiana Jones in the upcoming installment and said, "We've seen the character develop and grow over a period of time and it's perfectly appropriate and OK for him to come back again with a great movie around him." He added, "To me, what was interesting about the character was that he prevailed, that he had courage, that he had wit, that he had intelligence, that he was frightened and that he still managed to survive. That I can do."
