Telugu filmmaker Sailesh Kolanu, who is best known for directing films in the HIT franchise, paid an emotional tribute over the loss of his pet dog Sasha aka. Max. The director took to social media and shared a picture of his beloved pet revealing that she had been suffering from a tick fever over the past ten days, but succumbed despite putting up a tough resistance. Extending his gratitude for the emotional support coming his way from fans on social media, Sailesh honored Max by saying that his 2022 film, HIT: The Second Case, would not have been the same if she weren't a part of it.

Taking to Instagram, Sailesh Kolanu wrote, "With a shattered heart I bring this news to you guys. Our beloved Sasha AKA Max, just left us. She was suffering from a severe tick fever for the last ten days and she fought really hard. Despite being a really ferocious breed, Sasha is one of the most gentle souls I have ever come across. So much happiness she spread on the sets of HIT2. You will be missed officer Max. #hit2 wouldn’t have been the same without you. This hurts. This hurts bad. (sic)" Condolences have been pouring in from fans, who have reached out to the filmmaker and shared their support during this personal tragedy.

On the work front, Sailesh Kolanu is currently working on his next big project titled Saindhav, which stars Telugu superstar 'Victory' Venkatesh Daggubati in the lead role, who will be seen sharing screen space with the likes of Shraddha Srinath, Ruhani Sharma, and Petta star Nawazuddin Siddiqui among others in key roles, with the songs and the background score being composed by Tamil music director Santhosh Narayanan. Expectations for Venkatesh's Saindhav are huge as it marks the superstar's first-time collaboration with Sailesh, who impressed audiences with his filmmaking and writing in HIT: The First Case, which he also remade in Hindi under the same title with Rajkummar Rao and Sanya Malhotra in the lead roles.
