The wait has come to an end for Telugu superstar Jr. NTR's fans everywhere as the highly-anticipated first visuals from his upcoming film, Devara: Part 1, have now been unveiled in a special glimpse. Directed by Koratala Siva and featuring music composed by 'Rockstar' Anirudh Ravichander, the new teaser of the action drama gives viewers a look into what to expect when the film opens in cinemas worldwide in Telugu, Tamil, Hindi, Malayalam, and Kannada languages on April 5. Announced to be coming out in two installments, Devara: Part 1 is also Jr. NTR's first big-screen outing after the global blockbuster success of his RRR, which saw him appear alongside Ram Charan and was directed by S. S. Rajamouli.
The Devara: Part 1 glimpse starts off showing visuals of several boats wading through the waters in the sea, with many people then climbing onto big container ships and smuggling crates. We are then introduced to Jr. NTR battling the smugglers and the goons as a protector of the sea on what appears to be a remote island, while being hailed as the 'Tiger'. The Devara: Part 1 glimpse then sees Jr. NTR's character narrating how the sea around him has witnessed more swords and blood than fish while revealing the reason for it to be called as 'The Red Sea'. Although not much has been revealed in this teaser, one can assume that Jr. NTR's character in the film will have a special relation with the sea, which will be serving as a major plot element.
This glimpse of Devara: Part 1 once again reaffirms that the film will be high on action and will see Jr. NTR paired with Bollywood sensation Janhvi Kapoor, who is making her Telugu cinema debut, while Saif Ali Khan is cast as the antagonist, with Prakash Raj, Srikanth, Shine Tom Chacko, among others appearing in pivotal roles. The film also marks Anirudh's big comeback to Telugu cinema after Nani's Gang Leader (2019) and his work in the glimpse once again shows that he will be serving yet another big musical treat up ahead for fans.
