'Jai Shri Ram': Sukanya's Devotional Song Celebrating The Ram Temple Inauguration In Ayodhya Wins Hearts - WATCH - Tamil Movie Cinema News

Renowned actress and dancer Ms. Sukanya Ramesh composed the tune, penned the lyrics and also sang a song titled 'Jai Sri Ram' ahead of the inauguration ceremony of Ram Temple in Ayodhya on January 22. The spiritual song first released in an audio format was well-received by children and adults, with the video version set to follow suit soon. A video clip from the recording studio showing Sukanya singing and writing the lyrics for the 'Jai Sri Ram' song has now also garnered a positive feedback from fans. 

The musical arrangement and ensemble for the 'Jai Sri Ram' song, which is currently in its final stages of post-production, is being done by C. Sathya, with an English version of the devotional number also revealed to be in the works next. Prior to the inauguration of the Ram Temple in Ayodhya, Sukanya spoke about the 'Jai Sri Ram' song and said, "The nation is in a festive mood as the Ram Temple is all set to be opened in Ayodhya after 500 years. When the temple construction work started, a sketch of Lord Sri Rama drawn on my forehead by me got a lot of appreciation on social media." The multi-talented actress added, "Now, with the temple getting ready for inaugural, I dedicate this song as my small contribution. Lyrics of this song highlight the glory of Shri Rama Nama, the Lord's unique qualities, gist of Ramayana and the privilege of seeing the temple built in Ayodhya." 

Sukanya recently also interacted with Galatta Media in an exclusive interview and spoke in detail about the inception of the 'Jai Shri Ram' song along with a live performance, while also sharing her journey into music and songwriting. Sukanya, who won the Tamil Nadu State Film Award for Best Actress for her performance in Chinna Gounder (1992), has featured in several memorable films during the course of her illustrious career among which include Chinna Mapillai (1993), Walter Vetrivel (1993), Mahanadhi (1994), Indian (1996), Aahaa (1997), Sillunu Oru Kaadhal (2006), and Motta Shiva Ketta Shiva (2017) to name a notable few, while also appearing in Malayalam, Telugu, and Kannada languages.
