Leading Tamil actor Arun Vijay's 2024 has kicked off on a bright note as his latest film, Mission: Chapter 1 – Achcham Enbadhu Illaiye, has received a superb response in theatres, with the number of shows and screen count getting increased in the second week. In light of Mission: Chapter 1's release, a fans festival event for Arun Vijay was recently organized by Galatta Media, which saw the popular star's family members also gracing the occasion among whom included his father Vijayakumar and sisters Kavitha and Sridevi.

Explaining how the entire family would be tensed each time Arun Vijay's film releases, Vijayakumar stated, "It's all about the expectations because making a film is no ordinary task. A film becomes a lesson. It has to include a good story, sentiment, fight, comedy, and all such aspects. I've done many characters, but films like Natpukkaga, Kizhakku Cheemayile, Nattamai, Cheran Pandian, and Bharathiraja's Anthimanthaarai are the ones that are well-remembered. Similarly, among Arun's films that I like the most are Jananam in which he acted superbly, and then there's Thadaiyara Thaakka, Thadam, and Yennai Arindhaal."

Elaborating on Yennai Arindhaal, Vijayakumar said, "In the film, the hero is 'Thala' Ajith, but he gave [Arun Vijay] a character, who was his equal, which is not something any hero usually does. Ajith sir told Gautham Menon, 'Sir, you do what you've already thought for Arun Vijay's character and don't compromise on anything just because I'm the hero.' No hero does that. And, 'Thala' did that wonderfully and it's not something that can be forgotten even today. So, after Yennai Arindhaal, his (Arun Vijay) range went up. Many films have since come out like Yaanai, Sinam, and now Mission: Chapter 1. When we watch the films, I hear the people of Tamil Nadu saying, 'We know, sir. Your son will rise to the top.' And, that makes me extremely happy."
