According to reports, the actor was suffering from several health complications and had been undergoing treatment for the past few months. The news of Hari's passing has come as a big shock to fans and the film industry, and many have been paying their tributes to the actor on social media.
Actor Vishnu Vishal, who co-starred with Hari in the 2009 hit film, Vennila Kabadi Kuzhu, expressed his condolences on social media saying their memories will last together. He wrote on Twitter, "Sorry Vairavan May your soul Rest In Peace Memories with you from VennilaKabaduiKuzhu will last forever". Directed by Susienthiran, the film saw Hari play one of the kabaddi players and was part of several memorable comedy scenes, which garnered a positive response at the time and also saw them share screen space with Soori, Kishore, Appukutty, Murugadoss, Nitish Veera, among others.

Apart from Vennila Kabadi Kuzhu, Hari was cast once again alongside Vishnu Vishal in the 2011 Tamil romantic comedy Kullanari Koottam, which also received good feedback among fans. The late actor then made a big appearance in Karthi's Naan Mahaan Alla directed by Susienthiran and the film went on to become one of the biggest box-office blockbusters of the year. Hari Vairavan’s last rites are scheduled to take place in Madurai later today, reports say.
