Leading Tamil actress Trisha Krishnan has issued a strong statement addressing AIADMK leader A.V. Raju's comments against her during a press meet recently. The politician had made shocking allegations about her while targeting former Salem West MLA G. Venkatachalam. In response to the comments by A.V. Raju, Trisha on Tuesday evening, February 20, took to social media to lash out against the claims made about her.

Trisha responded strongly expressing her shock and anger at seeing such behavior repeatedly and stated that she will be taking legal action. Trisha wrote on X, "It's disgusting to repeatedly see low lives and despicable human beings who will stoop down to any level to gain attention.Rest assured, necessary and severe action will be taken.Anything that needs to be said and done henceforth will be from my legal department." A few months back, Tamil actor Mansoor Ali Khan had made derogatory comments about Trisha at a press meet expressing his regret for not having any "bedroom scenes" with her in 'Thalapathy' Vijay's Leo (2023), which sparked off a huge controversy. Soon after, Trisha responded writing, "A recent video has come to my notice where Mr.Mansoor Ali Khan has spoken about me in a vile and disgusting manner.I strongly condemn this and find it sexist, disrespectful, misogynistic, repulsive and in bad taste. He can keep wishing but I am grateful never to have shared screen space with someone as pathetic as him and I will make sure it never happens for the rest of my film career as well. People like him bring a bad name to mankind." Mansoor Ali Khan, who faced backlash for his remarks, which included the National Commission for Women (NCW) directing the Tamil Nadu police to invoke IPC Section 509 B and other relevant laws against him, later went on to issue an apology to Trisha.
