'Chiyaan' Vikram is currently busy filming his next big venture, Thangalaan, under Pa. Ranjith's direction. The upcoming film was launched back in July, with the team also releasing an intriguing teaser in October announcing the title and the complete cast and crew. The Thangalaan title announcement teaser received a huge response from fans as it gave a big glimpse at the time period the story is set in, with Vikram also sharing screen space alongside leading Malayalam actress Parvathy Thiruvothu and Master heroine Malavika Mohanan.
As filming on Thangalaan has been progressing at a brisk pace, Parvathy surprised fans by posting a photo of herself alongside her co-star Vikram and director Pa. Ranjith on Tuesday, November 29. The trio is seen looking adorable flashing the victory sign, which the Maryan actress has shared on her Instagram. The buzz surrounding Thangalaan has been massive right from the get-go and it remains to be seen what Pa. Ranjith is cooking, especially after the filmmaker revealed sometime back that the film is set in the pre-Independence era and will revolve around the miners in KGF. Fans are excited over the prospects of witnessing Vikram and Parvathy coming out on top once again with powerful performances, with many confident that Pa. Ranjith will do justice to their talents. Pa. Ranjith, Vikram, and Parvathy are fresh off the positive response to their last works namely Natchathiram Nagargiradhu, Ponniyin Selvan: 1, and Wonder Women, and will want to ace it together with Thangalaan, which will be coming out in 2023. Being produced by K. E. Gnanavelraja's Studio Green and Ranjith’s Neelam Productions banners, Thangalaan's star cast also includes talents like Pasupathi and Harikrishnan Anbudurai and will feature music by G. V. Prakash Kumar, who recently won the National Award for Best Background Score for his work in Suriya's Soorarai Pottru.
