'Chiyaan' Vikram has dropped a couple of photos from the dubbing session of his next film, Thangalaan, scheduled to be released in theatres worldwide on Republic Day, January 26, 2024. The National Award-winning actor on Saturday evening, December 16, posted photos from the dubbing suite along with the period action drama's director Pa. Ranjith, while also informing fans in Tamil along with a face-savoring food emoji that he will indeed have dialogue in the film by referencing the teaser, which showed him not speaking any lines. Sharing the pictures on X, Vikram wrote, " ‘Serious’ Dubbing patchwork. 😋 #Thangalaan" (ps teaserல வசனம் இல்லப்பா. )" (sic)

After the release of the Thangalaan teaser in November, there was a slight confusion about Vikram not having any dialogues in the film, which the actor later clarified in an official statement via his manager. He wrote on X,  "There seems to me a confusion on social media about @chiyaan sir having no dialogues in #Thangalaan. To clarify.. A reporter asked him if he has any dialogue in the movie and Vikram sir joked that he has no dialogue in the ‘teaser’. #Thangalaan has live/sync sound. So he definitely has dialogues in the film." (sic)

Vikram's latest statement and pictures from the Thangalaan dubbing suite have come out after his co-stars Parvathy Thiruvothu and Malavika Mohanan recently completed rendering their lines for their portions in the film. There is massive excitement surrounding the film as its story is set during the pre-Independence era amidst the Kolar Gold Fields (KGF) backdrop, with the teaser giving fans a big glimpse at what to expect in theatres next month. Among the many reasons why fans are enthusiastic about Thangalaan is for Vikram to take home several awards as the film's team has been showering him with high praise for his efforts, hard work, and dedication to go to the fullest extent for his role and performance. Releasing in Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, Kannada, and Hindi languages, Thangalaan featuring music composed by National Award winner G. V. Prakash will see Vikram, Parvathy, and Malavika sharing screen space with Pasupathy, and Harikrishnan, who will be appearing in supporting roles, while English actor Daniel Caltagirone is playing the antagonist.
