Thalapathy Vijay's Varisu is surely one of the biggest and most awaited films and it has got huge expectations among the fans. Varisu is Vijay's 66th film and it is directed by Vamshi Paidipally who is best known for helming films like Maharshi (with Mahesh Babu) and Thozha (with Karthi and Nagarjuna). Varisu is touted to be a family drama that will be strong on emotions and it is expected to bring out the lighter side of Vijay. The shooting of the film had been progressing at a brisk pace in Hyderabad for the last few days and we had seen several updates about it. That being said, it looks like the schedule has come to a wrap.

Yes! Actors Shaam and Ganesh Venkatram of Bigg Boss Tamil fame have completed shooting for their portions in the recent schedule and returned to Chennai last night. Ganesh took to his official Twitter page to share this update and the development has garnered wide attention among the fans. Sharing a few selfie pictures with Shaam from the airport, Ganesh Venkatram tweeted, "That's what I call Painting the 'TOWN RED' Literally 😉 😉 With @shaamactor bhai.. back to Chennai after a lovely shooting schedule in Hyderabad, there's never a dull moment when he's around ❤ #Varisu #Thalapathy66 #varisudu #Tamilmovie #Actorslife". The pictures have been doing rounds on social media since last night and more updates are awaited.

Varisu will also have a Telugu version "which is titled Varisudu. Produced by Dil Raju under the banner of Sri Venkateswara Creations, the film has music composed by S Thaman who recently bagged the National Film Award for Best Music Director - Songs for Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo. Rashmika Mandanna plays the female lead in this film that has Prakash Raj, Sarath Kumar, Khushbu Sundar, Yogi Babu and others in supporting roles. The film is set to hit the screens for the festive occasion of Pongal in January 2023.
