'Thalapathy' Vijay's Beast is set to invade theatres on April 13 and is set to be a grand treat for fans ahead of the festive occasion of Tamil New Year. Directed by Nelson Dilipkumar and produced on a mammoth scale by Sun Pictures, the buzz for the upcoming mass action entertainer has been massive right from the get-go last year, and all signs point towards a sensational opening for the film. Earlier, it was announced that Udhayanidhi Stalin's Red Giant Movies will be releasing the Vijay-starrer across Tamil Nadu. In that light, the reputed Kannada distribution banner Dheeraj Enterprises on Wednesday announced that they have acquired the Karnataka theatrical release rights for Beast and is their next association after Master in 2021 with the superstar. Below is the announcement:

The hype surrounding Vijay's Beast is tremendous as the response for the promotional material released so far has been nothing short of staggering. The two songs released so far - 'Arabic Kuthu' and 'Jolly o Gymkhana' - have turned out to be phenomenal chart-busters and is yet another feather in composer Anirudh's hat after he delivered blockbuster albums for the actor's Kaththi and Master. Expectations for Beast are getting bigger by the day as director Nelson Dilipkumar will also be looking to hit the bullseye on a big note after his previous box office hits Kolamaavu Kokila and Doctor

Vijay will be coming out all guns blazing with Beast once again and will want to top the reaction to his Master, which went on to revive the Tamil film industry and theatre-going experience that took a hit due to the pandemic. Unlike his last film, which opened in cinema halls at a 50% occupancy for the first few days, Beast will see a 100% fan attendance right from the start and prove to be a big advantage at the box office. Beast has Vijay cast opposite Pooja Hegde, with the supporting cast featuring ace Tamil filmmaker Selvaraghavan in a pivotal role alongside Shine Tom Chacko, VTV Ganesh, Aparna Das, Redin Kingsley, Lilliput Faruqui, among others.
