Actress Rhea Chakraborty has been arrested on Tuesday by the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) in connection with drugs-related allegations in the Sushant Singh Rajput death case. Declared as an accused in the CBI investigation into the actor's death on June 14, she was interrogated for three straight days and will be taken for a medical test next as part of the official procedure. The 28-year-old actress confessed to having consumed marijuana including hard drugs, on day three of the grilling by the NCB, despite initially denying she had taken any.

Earlier, Rhea Chakraborty admitted to 'procuring drugs' with assistance from her brother, Showik Chakraborty, who was arrested by the NCB last week. The actress had reportedly also dropped names of several other Bollywood stars who were consuming drugs as well during the probe. Rhea Chakraborty arrived at the NCB office in Mumbai today morning for the third straight time for questioning into the Sushant Singh Rajput case. She was seen wearing a black tee with a message that read: "Roses are red, violets are blue, let's smash the patriarchy, me and you." Images of the actress in the tee soon went viral on social media as the actor's "smash patriarchy" shirt.

The Narcotics Control Bureau began its investigations based on WhatsApp conversations retrieved from Rhea Chakraborty's phone, which provided information to officials in regard to the procurement of drugs, allegedly for Sushant Singh Rajput. During her arrival for questioning at the drug agency's Mumbai office on Sunday after she was summoned, scenes showed how she was mobbed by the media. On Monday, the actress reportedly issued a statement to the NCB saying, "Whatever I did, I did for Sushant". Along with her brother, she was questioned for several hours on Monday.

Rhea Chakraborty had last month in a statement said she tried stopping Sushant Singh Rajput from consuming drugs and had personally never been an addict to it. The actress stated that she and the late actor were dating for well over a year and had reportedly expressed concern over his mental and physical health. The NCB has stated that they gave enough proof that shows Showik Chakraborty and Sushant Singh Rajput's house manager, Samuel Miranda, in regard to the purchasing of marijuana.

According to the NCB, Sushant Singh Rajput's domestic staff member, Dipesh Sawant had fetched and distributed approximately 165 grams of marijuana between the months of March and June and, upon the orders of Rhea Chakraborty and her brother Showik. During the investigation, Sawant had told officials that he began working for him in September 2018 and was around the time when he saw Mr Rajput smoke marijuana. The drugs case hinges on the seizure of 59 grams of curated marijuana from two alleged drug peddlers and their purported links to Sushant Singh Rajput.

Three central agencies are investigating Rhea Chakraborty after Sushant Singh Rajput's family alleged that she had exploited the actor for money, including mentally harassing him and claimed that she had a role in his death.
