It's official now - Ayalaan will open in cinemas worldwide in Tamil and Telugu languages as a grand Pongal/Sankranthi treat in January 2024, the highly-anticipated film's team has announced on Saturday, September 23, while also posting new posters featuring Sivakarthikeyan along with a glimpse of an alien character to be featured in the film. Directed by R. Ravikumar of Indru Netru Naalai fame, it has also been revealed that the teaser of the highly-anticipated science-fiction entertainer will be out in the first week of October. Announcing the new release date of Sivakarthikeyan's Ayalaan and its teaser plans, the upcoming film's team has informed fans on social media that they are working on making sure that the final output meets its "full potential and added that the extra time will amplify the overall quality for an extraordinary visual experience.
Ayalaan was initially announced to hit screens for Diwali in November and this latest change in the release plans allows the film's team to push the horizons in making it a memorable feast in theatres for Tamil cinema audiences. There is massive excitement surrounding Ayalaan as the film was announced to include the highest number of CGI shots for a pan-Indian film. There is an extensive amount of VFX involved considering the alien character plays a key role and the Sivakarthikeyan-starrer was also previously announced to be the first full-length live-action film in Indian cinema to have over 4500+ VFX shots. Ayalaan has Sivakarthikeyan sharing the screen with Rakul Preet Singh, Karunakaran, Yogi Babu, Sharad Kelkar, Isha Koppikar, Banupriya, Bala Saravanan, among others, and will feature songs and a background score by Academy Award-winning composer A. R. Rahman.
