Both Vikram and Dhruv Vikram have garnered an immense following as a father-son duo, with their rapport witnessed in the shooting spot photos and videos of Mahaan (2022). The action thriller film directed by blockbuster filmmaker Karthik Subbaraj saw both actors put on power-packed performances earning them tremendous critical praise. While Vikram played the role of Gandhi Mahaan, a teacher turned liquor baron, Dhruv Vikram, who essayed the role of his son, Dadabhai Naoroiji, appeared as an extremist Gandhian seeking revenge against his father for violating Gandhian principles and abandoning his family.

Dhruv Vikram, who set the screens on fire with his intense performance in his debut Adithya Varma (2019) and subsequently alongside Vikram in Mahaan, is currently undergoing extensive training for his role as a Kabbadi player for his next film under acclaimed Tamil filmmaker Mari Selvaraj's direction. The Maamannan director's upcoming film has been revealed to be a biopic and will revolve around a Kabbadi player and Arjuna Awardee Manathi P. Ganesan, with production expected to begin soon. Vikram, on the other hand, will be seen next in the highly-anticipated espionage thriller Dhruva Natchathiram, which has been announced for a grand worldwide theatrical release on November 24. The National Award-winning Tamil actor also wrapped up filming on Thangalaan directed by celebrated filmmaker Pa. Ranjith, with the ambitious pre-Independence film gearing up for a massive release in 2024.
