Sushant Singh Rajput's death case has been handed over to the CBI and the actor's girlfriend/actress Rhea Chakraborty was questioned for the third consecutive day on Sunday (August 30th). Rhea was seen leaving the government guesthouse in Mumbai where the CBI has set up base after around eight hours on Sunday evening. Reports suggest that Rhea has been called again on Monday for questioning as well. Her brother Showik Chakraborty was also called by the CBI for the fourth day in a row for questioning in the case.

Following the interrogation, reports are making rounds on social media that the woman CBI officer Nupur Prasad, who was flown to Mumbai, to interrogate Rhea Chakraborty allegedly slapped the actress for not cooperating during the interrogation. It is unsure whether the incident really happened but the Sushant Singh supporters were seen sharing the news on social media platforms. Earlier, Rhea Chakraborty was questioned for nearly 10 hours on Friday and allowed to return home under police escort as a large number of media personnel were present outside her building. She was quizzed for around seven hours on Saturday too.

The CBI, which took over the case following an order from the Supreme Court, is investigating allegations by Sushant's family that Rhea Chakraborty and her family mentally harassed the actor, took money from him and had a possible role in his death in June. Apart from the CBI, Enforcement Directorate (ED) had also questioned Rhea in connection with the money laundering case. In his Patna FIR, Sushant's father KK Singh had accused Rhea of siphoning off Rs 15 crore from the late actor's bank account.

Rhea Chakraborty has denied all charges and allegations placed by Sushant's father that she poisoned his son and that she stole money from him. Chakraborty has also denied any connection to drugs and said that she never took a single rupee from the late actor.
