Chandramukhi 2 has been confirmed to be the sequel to Chandramukhi (2005), which was also directed by veteran filmmaker P. Vasu. The upcoming film will also see Raghava Lawrence embody the Vettaiyan Raja character portrayed by Rajinikanth in the original, which continues to remain an iconic persona in Tamil cinema history. There are quite a lot of expectations for Raghava Lawrence's portrayal of Vettaiyan Raja in Chandramukhi 2 and all sights will be on him to come out firing on all cylinders and match the swag of Rajinikanth as was witnessed in Chandramukhi.
Raghava Lawrence will be seen sharing the screen with four-time National Award-winning Hindi actress Kangana Ranaut in Chandramukhi 2, who is playing the titular character, with the ensemble star cast featuring Vaigai Puyal' Vadivelu, Raadhika Sarathkumar, Lakshmi Menon, Mahima Nambiar, Srushti Dange, Rao Ramesh, Ravi Mariya, Suresh Menon, T. M. Karthik, Subiksha Krishnan, among others, and Academy Award winner M. M. Keeravani's music also another big highlight. There is considerable interest surrounding Chandramukhi 2 and how the film's events and story will connect with Chandramukhi as fans await yet another memorable theatre entertainer from director P. Vasu.
