The biggest digital awards ceremony the nation has witnessed in recent times, The Galatta Crown 2022, held at the Jawaharlal Nehru Indoor Stadium on May 8, made heads turn around the country as it saw several leading names in the entertainment industry grace the occasion, including Bollywood superstar Ranveer Singh delighting audiences during his ever Tamil awards appearance. Likewise, some other big stars present at the gala ceremony were Priyanka Arul Mohan, Keerthy Suresh, Sivakarthikeyan, Nayanthara, Vignesh Shivan, Lokesh Kanagaraj, Nelson Dilipkumar, Udhayanidhi Stalin, Arya, Sayyeshaa, Boney Kapoor, Pa Ranjith, SJ Suryah, Raghava Lawrence, Ashwini Puneeth Rajkumar, Krithi Shetty, Kalyani Priyadarshan, among many others. In that light, one other major highlight at The Galatta Crown 2022 was South Indian sensation Priyanka Arul Mohan walking home with the Best Debut Actor Female (2021-2022) award for her performance in Doctor, which was presented to her by SJ Suryah, filmmaker-actor and Aishwarya Gupta, Founder of Wondr Diamonds. 

During her award acceptance speech, Priyanka Mohan said, "First up, I would like to extend my gratitude to Galatta for recognizing my work in Doctor as it is a very special film for me and a big start to my career. I wish to thank director Nelson Dilipkumar sir for offering me the role and also my co-star and producer Sivakarthikeyan sir for always encouraging me, including Anirudh Ravichander as it is my third film with him." Speaking next about her Don co-star SJ Suryah, Priyanka said, "If Maanaadu is one side of his skill set, then this film is another side of his capabilities." 

Next, there was a special video featuring Academy Award-winning actor Brad Pitt, whose voice was dubbed over in Tamil along with a marriage proposal to Priyanka, which came in as a major surprise for the actress and the fans at The Galatta Crown 2022. Revealing that the Hollywood superstar is her favorite actor of all time, Priyanka said that she feels double okay with the moment and gave her acknowledgement to the fun proposal.
