English actress Frankie Hough, best known for starring in the hit TV show Hollyoaks, died in a car accident. She was 38. Frankie, who was pregnant, was traveling with her two sons, Tommy (9) and Rocky (2), and her nephew, Tobias, (4), when her car was struck by a speeding vehicle on the M66 route. All four were airlifted to the hospital and reports say Tommy and Tobias are in a state of induced comas. Frankie's close friend Debbie Wright has said the actress was 18 weeks pregnant when she died tragically in the accident.
According to reports, the accident occurred on May 14, but the news of Frankie's death has come to light only now after her Hollyoaks co-star Paul Danan paid his tributes on social media. Posting an old photo of Frankie on Instagram, the 44-year-old Paul shared a GoFundMe link urging people to extend financial help to his late co-star's family and wrote, "I just heard the most shocking upsetting news I've heard in such a long time. Another good good friend who was such a special person has sadly passed away while carrying her unborn baby and her 2 little boys and nephew who were in the car too. They had a terrible car accident.She was driving on the M66 when a car must have crashed in to them, extremely dangerously! the driver has been charged. This wonderful actress played the character "Jess" alongside me for nearly 4 years in @hollyoaksofficial her real name is Frankie Hough and i adored her. I feel so lost right now. #RIPFranki 🙏" He added, "Just incomprehensible... 😞😪😪😪 #totallydevastated ps (sorry about the shots, they're bad quality as they are screenshots from a video i have of some of our best scenes and story lines we had together in #Hollyoaks probably the best time of our lives! 🎬📽 (sic)".
A distraught Paul Danan wrote in his second post, "Managed to get some better pics of me and my beautiful talented Gorgeous friend and co star "Jess"(@hollyoaksofficial ) Frankie Hough who was sadly recently killed carrying her unborn child. Her two little boys (ages 2 and 8 and nephew 4) travelling in the back of the car on the M66 are fighting for their lives in hospital but seem to be doing better. The bastard dangerous driver who i do feel sorry for as im sure he never set out to hurt anyone has been charged. However Frankie will never get to see her family again and as for her unborn child who never even got a chance in life let alone her two little Gorgeous boys and nephew won't see their mum or aunty again. My heart and prayers goes out to them and the husband who g-d knows how he's coping right now and also her adorable sister's and parents. May we all come together and do what we can to help and support u." He further stated, "I am truly devastated and hurting more than u know, to only find this out yesterday 2 weeks after it happened i feel a bit hopeless but know that G🙏d will help you all through it somehow and just maybe had a bigger plan for those two. I also feel that the only way to move on is to forgive that man who obviously should not have been on the road. This just solidifies things for me about driving dangerously or fast especially when not in a good head space. Frankie appeared on Hollyoaks from 2000 to 2001 and went on to appear on shows like Merseybeat, Heartbeat, and Wire in the Blood while also landing roles in the film Where the Heart Is to name a notable few. The driver of the car that collided with Frankie's vehicle, Adil Iqbal, has been arrested and pleaded guilty to being the cause of her death, while also confessing to causing serious injuries to the actress' son, Tommy.
