As the actor played the role of Arulmozhi Varman in the movie Ponniyin Selvan. A decorated chair, that looks like a throne was brought up and his wife Aarti Ravi was crowned Jayam Ravi as the king and a sceptre was also presented to him. The couple then posed with them amidst his family and fans. The actor then got up and asked his wife to sit in the chair and they both posed. Aarti Ravi then said "I am very blessed to get a husband like him. He respects every woman be it his mom, sister, friends and heroines and takes care of them. So, I think you all will understand how much he would respect me. So, it will be 100 times more respect at home. That why, I am more blessed." Jayam Ravi then said "she is my princess." The actor then said "He said one thing when we were dating, He said 'after marriage I will treat you like a queen' and he is doing that till now."
The actor then gave a surprise and said "I am going to do something for her." And recited a dialogue from Ponniyin Selvan in the same tone form the movie and said “Thank you for inviting me this far, honouring me and celebrating me, I am very happy, My family is also very happy, Thank you, I can't thank my wife because she has a part of everything in my life."
