Silambarasan TR's first big release of 2023, Pathu Thala, is set to open in cinemas worldwide on March 30 and a grand audio and trailer launch event for the gangster drama film was held at the Jawaharlal Nehru Indoor Stadium in Chennai on Saturday evening. The star-studded event saw many big personalities grace the occasion and share their experiences about working in the upcoming Simbu-starrer, which has been directed by Obeli N. Krishna of Sillunu Oru Kaadhal fame featuring music by Academy Award-winning composer A. R. Rahman under K. E. Gnanavelraja's Studio Green in association with Jayantilal Gada's Pen Studios banner.
Among the many memorable moments at the Pathu Thala audio launch was STR's speech, which was long-awaited by fans and saw the actor speak about rebounding from the setbacks in his career. Speaking about his big comeback and how he is going to do everything to keep his fans happy, the flamboyant star said, "All of you have done so much for me from the beginning. Your support and wishes for my success have brought me here. I assure you that I will do everything to make you all happy. You won't have to defend me anymore on Twitter and Instagram. You all stood by me during my dark times and that's enough. I want you all to sit down comfortably and watch what I'm going to do next. Enjoy this comeback. I am a different version of myself now. I won't back away and leave you down." Simbu further stated, "From now on, I will do everything to make the Tamil people and Tamil cinema proud. I say this with a lot of confidence now. Tamil cinema should go global and it's everybody's responsibility to make that happen. I too have that responsibility and I will make it happen."
