Silambarasan TR's Pathu Thala is less than two weeks away from its theatrical release on March 30 and is the first big film for the vibrant and flamboyant Tamil actor in 2023. The upcoming gangster drama directed by Sillunu Oru Kaadhal fame Obeli N. Krishna and featuring music by Academy Award-winning composer A. R. Rahman has been produced by K. E. Gnanavelraja's Studio Green in association with Jayantilal Gada's Pen Studios banner and has been the talk of the town ever since it was revealed that Simbu would be playing the role of a don in the film. With the Pathu Thala teaser released earlier this month receiving stunning feedback from fans, the makers have now released the film's trailer much to the excitement of Simbu's fans everywhere.

The Pathu Thala trailer starts off with the build-up of STR's character AGR, whom many fear, including those in the administration. We see Priya Bhavani Shankar being introduced as an administrative official who questions the powers a single man can possess, followed by Gautham Vasudev Menon pining his angst at not being able to take AGR out of the game in the world of land and sand mafia, with Gautham Karthik then coming into the picture as a man on his own big mission. The Pathu Thala trailer brilliantly sets up all the action set-pieces awaiting Simbu's fans in theatres and is a high-voltage visual treat from start to end, with plenty of drama included in between.
Pathu Thala features several notable names in its star cast and the film's trailer has given a glimpse at Silambarasan's journey as AGR, who will be coming across them among whom are Kalaiyarasan, Teejay Arunasalam, Anu Sithara, Manushyaputhiran, Redin Kingsley, Santhosh Prathap, and several others in key roles. With the Pathu Thala trailer now out, STR will be looking to make it a hat-trick at the box office after his Maanaadu (2021) and Vendhu Thanindhathu Kaadu Part I: The Kindling (2022) turned out to be huge blockbusters.
