National Award-winning actress Manju Warrier became a sensation across Tamil Nadu after her power-packed performance in last year's blockbuster, Asuran, opposite Dhanush and under Vetri Maaran's direction. The 12-time National Award-winning cinematographer is directing Jack and Jill in Malayalam, which has Manju Warrier in the lead role. The film billed to be a thriller is also the directorial comeback for Santosh Sivan in Malayalam and includes Kalidas Jayaram, Shaylee Krishen, Soubin Shahir, Esther Anil, Aju Varghese, Indrans, Nedumudi Venu among others in major supporting roles with editing by Renjith touchriver and music by Jakes Bejoy and Gopi Sundar. Being produced jointly by Santosh Sivan and M.Prashanth Das in association with SEWAS Films, Jack and Jill will be the Padma Shri recipient’s 14th directorial in his illustrious career, with fans mighty excited ever since it was announced that he would be teaming up with an actress of Manju Warrier's acting calibre. It had been reported a while back that Malayalam actor Prithviraj Sukumaran too has been brought on board as the narrator of the film. 

There is plenty of excitement surrounding Jack and Jill as it will mark Santosh Sivan's return to direction after his 2013 war film, Ceylon (Inam), while also being the next feature for Manju Warrier after the staggering success of Asuran, which had critics raving about her stunning performance. Last seen in the Malayalam film, Prathi Poovankozhi, Manju Warrier fans will be waiting with bated breath to witness her once again in action in Mohanlal's historical epic war film, Marakkar: Arabikadalinte Simham and Jack and Jill
