Veteran Tamil actor-producer Arun Pandian's daughter, Keerthi Pandian impressed fans with her efforts in her acting debut, Thumbaa, under newcomer Harish Raam LH's direction. She was paired opposite Kanaa dame Darshan in the jungle-fantasy film, with fans and critics praising her performance, including her efforts in the forest locations. Keerthi is now all set for her second film, Anbirkiniyal, an official remake of the smash hit and critically-acclaimed Malayalam film, Helen, which had Anna Ben in the lead role. Directed by Rowthiram, Idharkuthaane Aasaipattai Balakumara, Kaashmora, and Junga fame Gokul, the much-awaited Anbirkiniyal trailer is now out and was launched by actor Karthi. 

Directed by Mathukutty Xavier and produced by Vineeth Sreenivasan, the Malayalam film Helen released in 2019 is a survival action drama and turned out to be a rousing success, with praises coming in for its tight and engaging screenplay, including power-packed performances. As for Anbirkiniyal, Arun Pandian is reprising the role played by acclaimed Malayalam veteran actor Lal in the original. Among the various highlights in Helen, the father-daughter relationship was at the fore and based on the Anbirkiniyal trailer, we can expect the team to do justice as shown in the visuals ensuring us the Tamil version too will be high on drama and emotions and this time with the real life dad-daughter Arun Pandian-Keerthi Pandian combo. 

Arun Pandian has produced Anbirkiniyal under his A&P Groups banner, with music composed by Maanagaram fame Javed Riaz, followed by Mahesh Muthuswami handling the cinematography, Pradeep E Ragav taking care of the editing and Jayachandran overseeing the art direction. Anbirkiniyal has dialogues penned by Sachein director John Mahendran along with Gokul. The film's audio rights have been acquired by Think Music, with the makers currently working to complete the post-production to get the film out soon on the big screen. Anbirkiniyal's plot revolves around a young girl's fight for survival after she gets trapped inside the freezer of a meat factory/slaughterhouse, with her father and friends making desperate efforts to locate her whereabouts.
