Kamal Haasan's Vikram was officially launched with a formal pooja on July 16, Friday, and the pictures and videos from the first day of shoot went viral on social media. Vikram is a film that has excited the fans and film buffs ever since the first announcement and the expectations got multiplied after the release of the first look. Apart from Kamal Haasan, Vikram will also feature Makkal Selvan Vijay Sethupathi and Fahadh Faasil in the lead roles and it is going to be an epic treat for the film buffs to see these three powerhouse performers together in one film. Director Lokesh Kanagaraj who is fresh from the blockbuster success of Thalapathy Vijay's Master, will be looking forward to maintaining the momentum with Vikram as well.

Meanwhile, Kamal Haasan took to his official Twitter page to share his heartfelt statement after the first day shoot of Vikram. It has been very long since Kamal Haasan faced a camera in a film set (Bigg Boss was a TV show) and getting back to the film sets seems to have made the legendary actor emotional. He mentioned that the first day shoot of Vikram was more like a high school reunion.

Kamal Haasan tweeted, "Day one of VIKRAM. Felt like a High school reunion. In the past 50 years this is the longest I have been away from film shootings. Many film makers have not seen action for nearly a year. I welcome all my comrades from all echelons back to work at RKFI. Especially Mr.Lokesh and his enthusiastic team and my talented brothers, Mr.Vijay Sethupathi and Mr. Fahadh Faasil. @RKFI @Dir_Lokesh @VijaySethuOffl".

Director Lokesh Kanagaraj, who happens to be an ardent fan of Kamal Haasan was elated on hearing these words. Replying to Kamal's tweet, Lokesh said, "Saying the word “Action” to you is surreal to me sir... will preserve this memory forever n ever! Thank you & more love to you sir". It looks like Vikram is really going to be an exciting film to watch out for, in all aspects.
