Kalidas has landed good roles in big films of late starting with playing a cop in Kamal Haasan's Vikram (2022), which went on to become a box-office money-spinner under Lokesh Kanagaraj's direction. D50 is being made on a massive scale and Sun Pictures is leaving no stone unturned in making it a grand venture. The film also includes a stellar technical team among whom are cinematographer Om Prakash, editor Prasanna G. K., art director Jacki, publicity designer Kabilan, and costume designer Kavya Sriram, and is a reunion for them all with Dhanush once again after they previously collaborated with the actor on his various projects.
