Blockbuster Tamil music director Harris Jayaraj is the talk of the town after his 'Rock On Harris Live In Concert 2.0' in Chennai witnessed a record audience turnout. Pictures and videos of the leading Tamil cinema composer showing him in traditional attire dancing and singing during his performance at the concert have taken social media by storm, with fans calling him Harris Mams, as a show of affection. Responding to the massive outpouring of love from fans coming his way, Harris Jayaraj has now opened up on his concert experience in an exclusive interview with Galatta by saying, "I saw them holding placards. When I ask, they said it's a vibe and an emotion. We artistes are there for them and not the other way around."

Speaking further about being called 'Harris Mams', Harris Jayaraj explained, "Such a response gives me a lot of happiness as they are getting connected with us. Similar to how our family members use a nickname to call us, the fans are also addressing me in that manner. They're all my darlings. This is something that cannot be described and is God's blessing."

Reacting to the record crowd turnout at his concert, he said, "First, we were told that 42,000 people had booked the tickets a couple of days before the event, and that itself is a big number. All that won't get into your mind when you're rehearsing. You won't even notice that during the performance. But, after the performance was over, I wondered whether this is how a crowd of 42,000 looks like. And, that's when they said that more than 87,000 people had showed up. I think transportation was also provided through the Chennai Metro Rail Limited this time around and I want to extend my gratitude to them. They connected the fans with our show, I believe, and many people came from various parts of the world, including France and Switzerland had come to see us perform. And, it was on a Saturday compared to our first show, which was on a Friday. So many things fell in place. It was on February 3 and the salaries must have kicked in for everyone."
