2023 is drawing to a close and Google has now released a list of the Indian films that were the most searched on the search engine. The year has been fruitful for Tamil cinema too, with Google now revealing a list of the top 10 most searched Indian films, which also includes three Tamil blockbusters. The three Tamil films revealed to be featured on the list of the most searched Indian films on Google in 2023 are 'Superstar' Rajinikanth's Jailer, and 'Thalapathy' Vijay's Leo and Varisu.
Shah Rukh Khan's Jawan leads the list of the most searched Indian films on Google in 2023, followed by Sunny Deol's Gadar 2, with Hollywood blockbuster Oppenheimer directed by Christopher Nolan in the third place, while Prabhas has taken the fourth spot with his Adipurush. Shah Rukh Khan is featured on the list once again as his comeback film Pathaan released in January this year secured the fifth place, while the highly controversial The Kerala Story landed in the sixth spot. The top 10 most searched Indian films on Google in 2023 list then reveals 'Superstar' Rajinikanth's Jailer sitting in the seventh position, followed by 'Thalapathy' Vijay's Leo released in October taking the eighth spot. Salman Khan's Tiger 3 has claimed the ninth place, with Vijay featuring on the list for the second time with his Varisu ending in the tenth position.
Google's most searched Indian films list has featured two of Shah Rukh Khan and 'Thalapathy' Vijay's films, which had generated a huge buzz throughout the year till the time of their releases. All three Tamil films featured in the list - Jailer, Leo, and Varisu - have turned out to be immense box-office successes, while also garnering a huge response on streaming as well.
