Blockbuster Tamil filmmaker Gautham Vasudev Menon's Dhruva Natchathiram: Chapter One - Yuddha Kaandam starring National Award-winning actor 'Chiyaan' Vikram is one film that has been carrying tremendous excitement and massive expectations despite its long delay and is finally all set for a grand theatrical release starting November 24. The announcement of the espionage action thriller's release date in September came as a big delight for fans, with Gautham Menon in a special interview organized by the film's team now sharing his plans for a Dhruva Natchathiram Universe with popular anchor Dhivyadharshini (DD), while also sharing why he got into acting in the first place.

Speaking to DD, Gautham Menon said, "Initially, I had a vision, but there weren't people by my side who matched what I had in my mind. The film was at a standstill for 2-3 years and Covid-19 came after that, and there were other issues. I'm not trying to be negative, but I guess I'm responsible for that." He added, "Now, there's a team with me that understands my vision and they've all put in maximum effort to get this film released. I've wanted it to be aesthetic and not get it released for namesake. Vikram sir has to be happy. He watched the film and dubbed all his portions. All the actors have dubbed for their roles, including you. And, I've brought it to a finish." Talking about a Dhruva Natchathiram Universe, GVM revealed, "Somewhere from the beginning, I've been thinking about taking this story forward into a series of films where various other actors will be coming in, with Vikram continuing his role. After watching the edited film, I've been thinking about a sequel and have treated this as part one and have almost brought it to a finish."

Explaining why he got into acting, Gautham Menon shared, "At a point, even I thought it might be impossible (releasing Dhruva Natchathiram). But then, I realized it's not. Also because people started calling me to act. I didn't ask anyone for any roles, but it happened on its own." He further stated, "I did that only because I could use the remuneration that comes from acting to finish this movie. It wasn't for serving the art. I also turned down 2-3 films since I felt it wouldn't be right. And, 2-3 other films were wrong in terms of an experience. But, thankfully, the crème de la crème was a good experience and it paid me well, and I'm able to tell you today that all the acting jobs helped me to get this to a finish."
