There's no stopping the box office rampage of Sivakarthikeyan's latest film, Ayalaan, which continues to witness a spectacular audience turnout in cinemas. The big-budget science-fiction film directed by R. Ravikumar of Indru Netru Naalai (2015) fame R. Ravikumar and featuring songs and a background score composed by Academy Award winner A. R. Rahman has now hit a new high in box office numbers grossing worldwide 75+ crores as on January 23.

Released on January 12 as a grand Pongal treat, Sivakarthikeyan's Ayalaan has turned out to be a sweet success story for the entire team, especially after a long production and subsequent release delays owing to extensive post-production works. The film's latest box office report shows the new numbers have been achieved in less than two weeks, with the collections expected to continue to keep growing for some more time considering a good number of screens and shows have been allotted for the Sivakarthikeyan-starrer.

Ayalaan's box office collections also reflect on Sivakarthikeyan's rapid growth in the Tamil film industry and all sights will be on it to hit the 100-crore mark, considering it has been packaged as a wholesome family entertainer. It is to be noted that the film is also releasing in Telugu starting January 26 and is expected to witness a good audience attendance in theatres as the story revolves around a human being and an alien, and has already won over the kids in Tamil Nadu. With Ayalaan's collections in Tamil alone now reaching the 75+ crore mark, the box office numbers reaching 100 crores in the next few days is indeed a huge possibility and is now a waiting game. If the collections of Ayalaan indeed hit the 100 crore mark, it will make it the third time the actor achieves a century after Doctor (2021) and Don (2022).
