Arulnithi was last seen playing one of the leads in the rural action drama, Kalathil Sandhippom in which he shared screen space with Jiiva, Priya Bhavani Shankar, Manjima Mohan, and others. Arulnithi’s performance received a good response from the audience and the film also performed quite well at the rural centres. The film was produced by esteemed production house, Super Good Films, headed by RB Choudary. Meanwhile, Arulnithi is now all geared up for the release of his next Tamil film titled Diary. Diary is directed by debutant Innasi Pandian, a former associate of director Ajay Gnanamuthu and Arivazhagam (Kuttram 23 and Eeram fame).

The makers have released the film's motion poster which looks quite promising and intense. The motion poster gives us a glimpse of Arulnithi's character in the film and his makeover looks interesting. Arulnithi is known for his wise selection of scripts and he has always backed some promising contents in the past. Let us hope that Diary turns out to be an intriguing crime thriller. The film is produced by S Kathiresan of Five Star Creations LLP who is known for producing movies like Polladhavan, Aadukalam, Jigarthanda, and others.

The film has music scored by the young and promising Ron Ethan Yohann, while the cinematography is handled by Aravinnd Singh. The film's stunts are choreographed by Pradeep Dinesh. Pavithra Marimuthu who delivered an impressive performance in the recent Telugu anthology, Addham, plays the female lead and she is said to have got a meaty role in the film. The promo video has been released on the official YouTube channel of Think Music who owns the film's audio rights. Diary is said to be a thriller set in Ooty and reportedly, this film is based on a real life incident.

Apart from Diary, Arulnithi is also committed to doing a new college based film under the direction of Eruma Saani fame Vijay, who will be making his debut as a director in Tamil cinema. For now, check out the newly released promo video of Arulnithi’s Diary, directed by Innasi Pandian here:
