Sivakarthikeyan's 2021 is set to start on a grand note as his first film of the year, Doctor, announced to hit theatres worldwide on March 26, has been the talk of the town ever since it rolled into production. Directed by Kolamaavu Kokila fame Nelson Dilipkumar, who will next be teaming up with Vijay for Thalapathy 65, Doctor featuring music by 'Rockstar' Anirudh Ravichander is a joint production venture of Sivakarthikeyan’s SK Productions in association with Kotapadi J Rajesh of KJR Studios, with promotions for the film being carried out in an active manner. 

Earlier this week, the makers had dropped the announcement of the second single track from Doctor as 'So Baby', a Western Classical number featuring lyrics penned by Sivakarthikeyan himself. The 'So Baby' song announcement was made via a special video that included Sivakarthikeyan, composer Anirudh and director Nelson Dilipkumar, which was in line with their antics in an earlier promo for the 'Chellamma' track in the film, that has since turned out to be a chart-buster. With 'So Baby', 'Chellamma', including the soulful 'Nenjame' songs, the Doctor album is looking to be a delightful one, with the latest release featuring vocals by Anirudh and Ananthakrrishnan satisfying fans once again. 

Doctor is a big film for Sivakarthikeyan as the star will be seen on the big screen after more than a year since his Hero in late 2019 got released. Expectations for the film have been massive from the moment of its announcement, with speculations rife that it will be a black comedy on the lines of Nelson Dilipkumar's directorial debut, Kolamaavu Kokila, which featured Nayanthara in the lead role. Up until now, not much is known about the plot of Doctor, with a strong talk that it will be a step away from the usual films Sivakarthikeyan has done to date. 

Sivakarthikeyan will be romancing current South Indian sensation and Gang Leader heroine Priyanka Arul Mohan in Doctor, who has been cast as the female lead. The supporting cast features names like Yogi Babu and Redin Kingsley, with Unnaale Unnaale fame Vinay cast as the villain. Watch the 'So Baby' song lyric video from Sivakarthikeyan's Doctor below:
