Leading Telugu star Allu Arjun's Pushpa: The Rise – Part 1, the third collaboration for the actor with director Sukumar, has now completed 50 days in its theatrical run and is still going strong. The blockbuster action drama has collected Rs. 365 crore gross at the worldwide box office in 50 days, while the Hindi version of the film has now entered the prestigious 100 crore club. Pushpa, which has turned out to be one of the most talked-about films from South India in 2021 to rule the roost in all parts of the country, has turned out to be a paisa vasool venture for its global distributors as it has yielded a 100 percent profit share.

Pushpa has been a film that has been widely debated by fans both prior to and post its theatrical release and is also currently streaming on Amazon Prime Video in Telugu, Tamil, Hindi, Kannada, and Malayalam languages. Declared to be the highest-grossing Indian film in 2021, audiences have been singing praises for the performances of Allu Arjun and the female lead Rashmika Mandanna, director Sukumar for his engaging screenplay, and composer Devi Sri Prasad for his chart-buster tunes. Pushpa had several major USPs to its favor and one among them was also leading actress Samantha making a special appearance in the 'Oo Antava Oo Oo Antava' song, which as well powered the buzz around the film.

Produced by Mythri Movie Makers in association with Muttamsetty Media, Pushpa: The Rise ended on a cliffhanger note giving the lead for the sequel titled Pushpa 2: The Rule, which will predominantly focus on the battle between Allu Arjun and Malayalam actor Fahadh Faasil, who will be reprising his role as a cop from the first installment in which he appeared in an extended cameo role. Although no official announcement has been made as yet, early reports suggest Pushpa 2: The Rule will open in theatres in December this year.
