Allari Naresh starrer Naandhi, which released at the beginning of this year, is all set to be remade in Hindi. Naandhi is a Telugu crime courtroom drama that was directed by debutant Vijay Kanakamedala. The film was bankrolled by Satish Vegesna under the banner of SV2 Entertainment and it featured Varalaxmi Sarathkumar in a crucial role, as a lawyer. The performances of Allari Naresh and Varalaxmi Sarathkumar received a positive reception from the fans. The movie was also applauded by the critics and general audience for its gripping screenplay and strong writing. It was a box office success, as well. Naandhi will now be remade in Hindi and the official announcement regarding the Hindi remake was made, this morning.

Bollywood star hero Ajay Devgn will play the lead, reprising Allari Naresh's character. The Hindi remake rights has been acquired by Ajay Devgn, along with ace Telugu producer Dil Raju. Talking about the project, Ajay Devgn said, "Naandhi is an important film, exposing certain loopholes in the administration. The original Telugu version was effective and touched a raw nerve. Dil Raju & I have decided to join hands in remaking this film in Hindi to reach out to a larger audience. These are early days. The script is being finalised. Once we have the cast & key talent in place, I may be able to say more".

The director for this remake is yet to be locked and we will have to wait for a few more months to get more details about the project. It can be noted that Ajay Devgn is already committed to doing the Hindi remake of the Karthi starrer Kaithi, directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj. With this announcement about Naandhi remake coming in, Ajay Devgn has now got two remake projects in the pipeline and it is surely going to be exciting to watch the star hero in two completely contrasting projects.

Apart from Kaithi remake and Naandhi remake, Ajay Devgn also has films like Sooryavanshi, Gangubai Kathiawadi, RRR, Maidaan, Bhuj: The Pride of India, Thank God, and May Day, which are in different stages of production.
