The Indian government has barred incoming commercial flights for a week, as more countries closed their borders to noncitizens. Prime Minister Modi yesterday urged residents to stay home and has insisted a complete lockdown this Sunday on the 22nd of March. Tamil film fraternity is also very pro-active, all shoots have been stopped and very few filmmakers have been working on non-shooting production activities like editing and discussions. Suriya’s 2D Entertainment has now released a press release stating that they have stopped all post-production works as a precautionary measure during this crisis. Their statement reads as follows:

“In view of the pandemic COVID19 throughout the world, considering the safety of our cast, crew and the public in general, we have stopped filming and post production of our ongoing projects, commencing today, 19th March 2020 until 31St March 2020. Restraint is the most effective way to combat Corona Virus.
