Director Karthik Subbaraj celebrated his 37th birthday yesterday (March 19) and his timeline was filled with birthday wishes from fans spread all over the world. We at Galatta Media decided to surprise the Petta director with some special gifts and he was pleasantly taken aback seeing it. Post the birthday celebrations, we did ask for an update about his next film, Jagame Thandhiram, on behalf of Dhanush’s fans. Karthik said, “We were working on full swing and the plan was to release the film on May 1.

We were also supposed to release the first single around this time, but because of the Corona virus outbreak, we have put everything on hold. The film is getting ready. Once these problems are sorted out, we will immediately start with the updates and promotions. The film is coming out really well.” It looks like the film’s promotional and release plans might change due to the Corona virus outbreak, but, be it any day, we can expect Karthik Subbaraj to create a striking impact with the film, that too, with a stellar performer like Dhanush at the front.
