'Thala' Ajith's Veeram remake Odeya trailer | 'Challenging Star' Darshan

The 2014 Tamil action film, Veeram, was the first of the four collaborations between ‘Thala’ Ajith and blockbuster director Siva. Produced under the Vijaya Productions banner with music by Devi Sri Prasad, Veeram, which came as a Pongal treat nearly six years back featured a multi-star cast among whom were Tamannaah playing the female lead followed by Atul Kulkarni as the antagonist, Nasser, Vidharth, Santhanam, Mayilsamy, Yogi Babu, Thambi Ramaiah, Ramesh Khanna, Ilavarasu among others in major supporting roles.

Post the success of Veeram, many reputed names across the nation have been interested in remaking the film and a Kannada version titled, Odeya, starring ‘Challenging Star’ Darshan had been announced to come out in theatres on January 12, 2020 along with an action-packed trailer now getting released.

Apart from Darshan playing Ajith’s role in the Veeram Kannada remake, Odeya directed by M.D. Shridhar under the Sandesh Productions banner with music by Arjun Janya also has in its massive star cast popular names like Sanah Thimmayyah as the heroine while Devaraj, Ravi Shankar, Sharath Lohitashwa, Sadhu Kokila, Chikkanna, Yashs Surya, Samarth, Pankaj Narayana, Niranjan, Chithra Shenoy, Ashwini Gowda, Malathishri will be seen in supporting roles. A.V. Krishnakumar is the cinematographer while K.M. Prakash is the editor, Kalai and Mohan are the choreographers, Vijai Hyderabad and Vinod in charge of the stunts and Eshwari Kumar is the art director.
