Due to the pandemic situation worldwide, film and television serial shootings were stopped in the third week of March and ever since then, the industry was shutdown. Following a gap of 70 days, the small-screen industry has now resumed production (from today - June 8) and serial shootings have slowly started to take place with a minimal crew, adhering to the guidelines of the Tamil Nadu Government. This move must come as a big relief for daily wage workers who earn their salary through daily shootings. However, this relaxation has been approved only for serial and ad shoots and not for film shootings.

Actress Khushbu, who is the General Secretary of Tamil TV Serial Producers Association, took to her Twitter space to share this news with the fans and followers. She thanked FEFSI President R.K.Selvamani, Minister Kadambur Raju and TN Chief Minister Edappadi K Palaniswami for their efforts to make this happen.
