The Corona Virus spread has already brought the nation to a standstill and everything except the basic essentials have been pushed into lockdown mode. Already many top celebrities are coming out to donate and help the members of the FEFSI union, who are facing severe issues as their source of livelihood has become a major question, following the suspension of all shoot. In this regard, a letter has been penned by a special officer of the Nadigar Sangam (South Indian Artistes' Association), detailing the plight of junior artistes and theatre artistes, whose livelihood has also been affected by the ban on shooting.

The letter further likens the situation of over 70% of the members of the Nadigar Sangam, to be similar to the members of the FEFSI union and has requested that people donate heartily for their cause also. It has also been mentioned in the letter that appeals have been made to all the top actors to help and the Association's bank account details have also been furnished, asking the general public to make whatever contribution they can to help ease the financial stress of the artistes. On this appeal coming to light, Dr. Ishari K Ganesh of Vels Film International has immediately donated Rs. 1- Lakhs for helping the actors in need.
