Shriya Saran started her career way back in 2001 a Telugu film called Istam jointly directed by 24 director Vikram K Kumar. After acting in a few low key films, her career really took off when she acted in Chiranjeevi’s Tagore. Then came the Tamil film Mazhai, Sivaji and Azhagiya Tamil Magan. At one point, she was the most wanted actress in both Tamil and Telugu cinema. But when some of his films didn’t do well, Shriya started losing offers. Even now, she gets good film offers now and then, one such film is the long-awaited Naragasooran directed by Karthik Naren. Shriya is also quite active on Instagram and she gets good traction for her posts. Now during a recent live interaction session, Shriya revealed an interesting update about her next film. She will be acting in SS Rajamouli’s next film RRR. This is not the first time she is teaming up with Rajamouli, her previous collaboration with the Baahubali director was in Chatrapathi which had Prabhas and Shriya in the lead roles.

Shriya during the live session said - “I have a role in a Telugu film RRR which Rajamouli sir has directed. I come in a flashback, a beautiful sequence with Ajay Devgn.” Following the astounding success of the Baahubali franchise, director SS Rajamouli announced that he would be bringing together two leading young stars for his next project! Titled RRR, this new movie has Ram Charan and Jr. NTR in the lead and is said to be a fictitious tale based on the lives of two famous freedom fighters - Alluri Seetharamaraju and Komaram Bheem! This is a period movie set in the 1920's and is to have a simultaneous release in 10 languages! This grand extravaganza was slated to hit the screens on July 30, 2020 but has now apparently been pushed because of COVID-19.”
