While on one hand, the entire world is suffering from the devastating effects of the COVID-19 Novel Corona Virus Pandemic, there is some heartening news for Indians! There have been a significant number of people recovering on a daily basis, across the country and we have some great news from the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare (MoHFW)! A latest update from the Ministry of Health reveals that over 78 districts across the country have not reported any new cases of COVID positive, in the last 14 days! The report further reveals that 12 districts have not recorded any COVID positive cases in the past 28 days! Lav Agarwal, Joint Secretary of the Ministry of Health has revealed this information to the media, today!

With the onset of the Corona Pandemic, the Indian government trialled a Janata Curfew on March 21st, before enforcing a nation-wide lockdown from March 25th to April 14th. However, as the COVID infection was running unabated, the Central government extended the lockdown till May 3rd! It has also been reported that the Prime Minister Narendra Modi would be interacting with the Chief Ministers of all states via video conferencing on April 27th (Monday) before taking a decision on lifting the Lockdown. The total number of Corona infected people in India stands at 21,393 as of today (April 23) evening, of which 4,258 people have been cured and the death tally stands at 681!
