Actress Namitha married producer and actor Veerandra Choudhary in 2017 at the ISKCON Temple in Tirupati after a year of dating. One among the contestants during the first season of the Tamil edition of the smash hit reality TV show, Bigg Boss, Namitha and Veerandra have been married for nearly three years, with the star now taking to her Instagram pictures to share romantic pictures of herself with her husband along with a special message. 

In her latest post, Namitha has stated that it has been exactly four years since she first met Veerandra on this date (September 7) and conveyed her first meeting anniversary wishes to him. She also added that the time together with him has flowed like water in a river and said that she looks forward to another forty happy years with him. Check out the post below: 

Namitha, who joined the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) along with actor Radha Ravi in the presence of party president J. P. Nadda in 2019, is currently serving as one of the state executive members in Tamil Nadu after being appointed in July 2020. Last seen on the big screen in the 2019 horror comedy Tamil film, Pottu, starring Bharath, Srusthi Dange and Iniya under Vadivudaiyan's direction, the actress turned politician enjoys a huge fan following even today in a career that has spanned nearly two decades. 

A participant in the 2001 Miss India competition, Namitha made her debut in the Telugu film, Sontham, in 2002 and was subsequently introduced to Tamil audiences in 2003 in the Vijayakanth starrer, Engal Anna. She became a popular name in Telugu cinema after roles in films like Gemini, Oka Raju Oka Rani and Oka Radha Iddaru Krishnula Pelli, but her popularity skyrocketed in Tamil after films like Naan Avanillai, Azhagiya Tamil Magan alongside 'Thalapathy' Vijay and Billa with 'Thala' Ajith. She reprised her role from the Tamil version of Billa for the Telugu version under the same title, which had Prabhas and Anushka Shetty in the lead roles. She also made her Bollywood debut in the 2005 film, Love Ke Chakkar Mein, co-starring Rishi Kapoor.
