After winning the Naalaiya Iyakkunar title, Nalan Kumarasamy made his silver screen directorial debut with Soodhu Kavvum in 2013 which became a sensational hit at the box office. The film was raved by the audience and the critics and everyone looked forward to his next film. After a gap of 3 years, his next film came out and it was Kadhalum Kadandhu Pogum. The film starred Vijay Sethupathi and Madonna Sebastian in the lead roles and it has a special fan following. Following a gap of five years, Nalan Kumarasamy recently had a release in the form of Kutty Story, an anthology film. Nalan Kumarasamy had directed a segment in the anthology film and his segment featured Vijay Sethupathi and Aruvi fame Aditi Balan in the lead roles. The film received positive reviews from the critics and the general audience.

In an exclusive interview with Galatta Media, Nalan Kumarasamy shared a few interesting details about his next directorial and the project definitely sounds exciting. Nalan will be directing his next film for KE Gnanavel Raja’s Studio Green banner and it will be an action packed entertainer.

Nalan Kumarasamy said, “Yes! My next film is for Studio Green and we have started the pre production works in full swing. We have planned to pitch the story to some leading names in the industry and an official announcement will be made by the production company. I can say that the film will be a homage to mass hero films with some fun, masala and action. I have always wanted to try something very commercial, appealing to the masses and I will be doing it with this film. I cannot divulge anything more,”.
