Though Simbu is said to have signed 3 to 4 projects during the lockdown, officially he only has 2 projects in the pipeline, one is the Tamil remake of Kannada film Mufti directed by Narthan and the other project is Maanaadu directed by Venkat Prabhu. He is also playing an extended cameo in Hansika’s Maha. Simbu will soon start shooting for Mufti remake and Maanaadu once the lockdown ends. Meanwhile, Mufti director Narthan has moved on to his next big project. Earlier we had informed our readers that Narthan is in talks to direct KGF fame Yash for a movie. Even the director had issued a statement saying - “Currently, we have locked ourselves in our houses, and we are in touch only over the telephone. I am yet to meet the actor (Yash) in-person to discuss the story in detail and take the project forward. As of now, my film with Yash stands at the script discussion level only.”

According to the latest news from Sandalwood is that this project has been finalized and the script has more or less been finalized. Apparently, Yash and Narthan are making use of the lockdown to fine tune the script. Narthan is said to be visiting Yash’s office frequently to work on it. Yash still has some portions left to be shot for his much-awaited KGF: Chapter 2 which would resume shoot after the lockdown. Only on completion of KGF 2, Yash can start shooting for this untitled film to be directed by Narthan. Yash’s market is on another league after the success of KGF and he would be keen on selecting scripts that keeps him at the top of his game. Stay tuned!
