Ace director SS Rajamouli's next film, RRR is scheduled to release in theatres on October 13 and it is expected to have a mega grand release. The film features Jr NTR and Ram Charan in the lead roles and this film marks their first outing together. The fans are super excitedly waiting to see the epic film on the big screens and when a blockbuster director like Rajamouli is at the helm, the expectations are huge. RRR deals with the story of Indian freedom fighters, Alluri Sitarama Raju and Komaram Bheem who fought against the British and Nizam of Hyderabad respectively. This period film is produced by DVV Danayya under the banner of DVV Entertainments and the film has been made on a budget of over 400 crores.

With music by MM Keeravani, the film has cinematography by KK Senthil Kumar and editing by Sreekar Prasad. Bollywood actress Alia Bhatt plays the female lead, while the star cast also includes the likes of Ajay Devgn, Olivia Morris, Samuthirakani, Ray Stevenson, Alison Doody, Chatrapathi Sekhar, and others. The shooting of the film was recently wrapped up and the makers are currently busy with the post production works which are happening in full swing. Director Rajamouli is said to have upped the game with RRR and everyone is eagerly looking forward to seeing the maverick filmmaker's work.

While the film is originally shot in Telugu, it will have a dubbed release in Tamil, Malayalam, Hindi, and Kannada. The makers of RRR have now made a big breaking announcement about the release of the film's Tamil version. Leading production house, Lyca Productions has acquired the Tamil Nadu theatrical rights of RRR for a record price. The film will have a massive release in theatres across Tamil Nadu through the banner of Lyca Productions. Rajamouli has also got a solid fan base in Tamil Nadu, thanks to the blockbuster success of Naan Ee and Baahubali series, and now, with Lyca's addition, the film is sure to have a mega opening.

A tweet from Lyca Productions' official Twitter handle read, "We are delighted and proud to announce The Tamil Nadu theatrical rights of THE BIGGEST PAN INDIA FILM #RRRMovie is acquired by us...".
