Director Chimbu Deven made heads turn across the Tamil film industry with his debut film, Imsai Arasan 23rd Pulikecei, in 2006, starring 'Vaigai Puyal' Vadivelu in dual roles. The historical comedy film went on to become a massive box office success, including garnering a cult status in quick time, with a sequel since then being announced. Chimbu Deven, who has since then made films like Arai En 305-il Kadavul, Irumbu Kottai Murattu Singam, Oru Kanniyum Moonu Kalavaanikalum, including Puli with 'Thalapathy' Vijay, had announced an anthology film titled Kasada Tabara in 2018, which is a joint venture by Venkat Prabhu's Black Ticket Company and R. Ravindran's Trident Arts. 

Kasada Tabara, which has seen a delay in its release, was recently announced to be coming out on the OTT streaming platform SonyLIV on August 27, with fans expecting the upcoming multi-starrer to include plenty of drama and noteworthy performances. Featuring an ensemble cast among whom include Maanagaram hero Sundeep Kishan, Shanthanu Bhagyaraj, Premgi Amaren, Harish Kalyan, Regina Cassandra, Priya Bhavani Shankar, Vijayalakshmi, including Venkat Prabhu in starring roles, Kasada Tabara also has six composers and they are Yuvan Shankar Raja, Santhosh Narayanan, Premgi, Ghibran, Sean Roldan and Sam CS. Likewise, six cinematographers namely Vijay Milton, Balasubramaniem, M. S. Prabhu, RD Rajasekhar, S. R. Kathir and Sakthi Saravanan have worked on the film, with Antony, Praveen K. L. Vivek Harshan, Ruben, Raja Mohammed and Kasi Viswanathan have handled the editing. 

With Kasada Tabara announced for a premiere on SonyLIV, promotions have once again resumed and the makers on Wednesday released a character introduction video promo showing the names of each of the lead stars in the anthology film. Below are each of the lead character's names in the film:
