Dhanush's Jagame Thandhiram will skip the theatrical release and have a direct digital release on Netflix streaming platform. Jagame Thandhiram is a film that has excited the fans and film buffs ever since its announcement and the excitement doubled and tripled with the release of the songs and promos. However, the fans were highly disappointed by the producer's decision to release the movie in OTT platform, considering the fact that the film was shot for a theatrical viewing experience. The film's teaser which released last month opened to an overwhelming reception and the fans loved Dhanush's ultimate swag as Suruli, the notorious gangster.

The film's exact release date is yet to be announced by the makers. However, several other interesting details about Jagame Thandhiram is now out on social media. Netflix has already updated the film's details and other info on their platform and it has garnered the attention of the fans. From what we see in the Netflix's description, Jagame Thandhiram is given an '18+ Rating' and if the film had released in theatres, it would be have been an 'A' certified film. However, we definitely know that the 18+ rating stands only for the intense action and violence and probably usage of cuss words, on the lines of Vada Chennai.

The film's final runtime is revealed to be 157 minutes - 2 hours and 37 minutes. It is indeed going to be a treat for the fans to watch a 2.5 hour film that promises to be a roller coaster ride. The film's synopsis on Netflix reads, "A nomadic gangster finds himself caught between good and evil in a fight for a place to call home". The film features popular Malayalam actress Aishwarya Lekshmi as the female lead, while Game of Thrones fame Hollywood actor James Cosmo plays the key antagonist. Joju George, Kalaiyarasan, Sharath Ravi, Deepak Paramesh, Sanchana Natarajan, and others play supporting roles.

The film is directed by the highly talented and much loved filmmaker, Karthik Subbaraj and people who follow his work are eagerly waiting to watch the film. Produced by Sashikanth under the banner of Y Not Studios, Jagame Thandhiram has music scored by Santhosh Narayanan and cinematography handled by Shreyaas Krishna. The film's songs (two singles) have received a very good response from the fans and the full album is expected to release in the next few weeks.
