The Tamil Nadu government on Saturday as part of its daily briefing came out with the official updated number of coronavirus cases in the state. TN has 66 new cases of COVID-19 reported in the state taking the total to 1,821 people testing positive for the disease. Among the 66 people, 43 cases have been identified to be from Chennai alone taking the district's total to 495. There have been 7 new cases in Kancheepuram, 5 in Tenkasi, 4 in Madurai, 2 each in Perambalur and Virudhunagar, and 1 each in Chengalpattu, Tiruvannamalai and Villupuram!

Coronavirus Tamil Nadu update 66 New Cases Total 1821 Cases

One new coronavirus-related death has been reported in Tamil Nadu over the past 24 hours taking the state's total toll to 23. There is some respite for the people in the state as 94 people made a recovery and have been discharged after their treatment. The state's total recoveries count climbs to 960 with the numbers more than the current active coronavirus cases, which stands at 835. This is indeed a steady improvement in the daily recoveries and the discharged count.
